DIAL
DIAL – Multiplatform Assistive Voice Technologies for the detection and approach of Unwanted Loneliness in the elderly
DIAL is a project to combat unwanted loneliness in the elderly by developing a friendly and innovative tool, based on multiplatform voice assistive technologies.
This tool is intended to reduce the digital gap and the usability of technology that especially affects this group, using a system inspired by the radio with which they are improved.
The solution to be developed is based on the active listening methodology, and will not only be able to detect a situation of risk of unwanted loneliness but will also present flexible problems and services adapted to the needs and situation. specific to each person.
DIAL will be designed with a mixture of features that differentiate it from the rest of the voice assistants on the market, always offering users a more personalized experience that adapts to their true needs.
With this solution, DIAL addressed some of the great current strategic challenges of our society, especially those derived from the aging of the population and, above all, unwanted loneliness in older people, a public health problem that has grown even more during the COVID-19 pandemic and that requires an effective and innovative response.
