CUINET
Design and development of an application for networking non-professional and volunteer carers for temporary support.
CuiNet: Digital Innovation to Support Non-Professional Carers
🩺 A Project to Improve the Quality of Life of Caregivers
As part of the POLISABIO programme, the CuiNet project aims to develop a mobile application that connects non-professional caregivers with volunteers willing to offer temporary support. This innovative tool will allow caregivers to have short breaks to carry out essential activities, improving their well-being and reducing their emotional and physical burden.
🔍 How will CuiNet work?
✅ A system connecting carers and volunteers based on needs and availability.
✅ Registration, search and matching features, ensuring accessible and secure support.
✅ Assessment of the impact on stress reduction and improvement in the quality of life of carers.
📅 Project phases
🔹 Research: Analysis of the needs of carers and volunteers.
🔹 Development: Creation of the application prototype.
🔹 Pilot tests: Impact assessment and design improvements.
🔹 Scalability: Search for funding to implement the app at regional and national level.
👥 Multidisciplinary Collaboration
This project is led by the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and FISABIO, with the participation of Miguel Hernández University (UMH) and healthcare professionals.
🌍 Impact and Future of CuiNet
This initiative is expected to alleviate the burden on non-professional carers, reduce the stress associated with continuous care and improve patient care. In addition, the project is seeking funding from programmes such as IVACE+I and Horizon Europe, with the possibility of expanding the application to other areas of care for dependent persons.
